Cheaper rail and bus fares using Leap Card

Leap Card can be used on Cork City bus services (Bus Éireann) as well as Cork commuter rail services on the Cork-Cobh and Cork-Midleton lines. Leap fares are 30% cheaper than cash single fares on city bus services, so commuters can pay as little as €1.61. And if you travel by train you get a great deal with Leap Card fares as low as €1.70. Ballincollig, Carrigaline and Glanmire can now pay city fares. That’s only €1.89! Leap Cards can be topped up using ticket machines available at selected stations and at Payzone Leap agents around the city. You can find a full list of agents in your areas on Payzone.ie

And if you’re not near an TFI Leap agent, you can download the Leap Top-up App Top-up App onto a NFC-enabled Android phone and top up directly from your phone.

Cheaper rail and bus fares for employees via tax saver

Employers simply Register online, receive log in details and start purchasing monthly or annual tickets for their employees. The cost is deducted directly from the employees Gross salary, and massive savings of between 29% and 52%  can be made off the regular price, depending on ticket type and your tax band.

Zero Bikes are hugely successful in Cork City with increased numbers using the bikes each year. An annual  subscription of €10 is required to access the bikes and the first 30 minutes of each cycle is free. You are able to access the bikes once you have receive your zero bikes card in the post. Cork City is compact and many places can be reached within 30 minutes. There are plenty of bike stations throughout the city (see map above).
